A note from the pastor…
Welcome to Friendship, and welcome to the community of Gill! I would like to take this moment to personally invite you to come check out our fellowship. We gather with one primary purpose in mind: to be the church. It sounds easier than it actually is. Most folks will be content to “do” church or “go to” church. I’d like to think that we strive for something more.
It may be hard to believe, but we have been serving the Marshall area for over 150 years. Now is not the time, however, to rest on our laurels and pat ourselves on the back because of some arbitrary number. I am more concerned with people–not in large quantities, but one individual at a time. We desire that our community know that there is more to life than the world we see.
I believe in Jesus Christ, the crucified, and He is Who I preach. Should you come and join us, you won’t be overwhelmed by anything fancy, catchy, or trendy. It is my hope and prayer that you will be overwhelmed by the good news that God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. Come to receive a challenge to your faith, rather than a pat on the back. Come to find an outlet to serve, rather than an outlet to be served. Come to the body of Christ, right here at Friendship!
Looking forward to what God might do in our midst…
